Timber is approximately 10 years old, a Golden Retriever/Great Pry mix and a stray to a shelter. He is about 60lbs, up to date on all his shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. He’s been living with a foster since he arrived; this is what she has to say about him.
Timber is a laid-back senior looking for a quiet home. He likes to have his own space to nap, so he’s looking for a calm home with no small children. After a few days of getting used to everybody, Timber has been doing well with two senior female dogs and two cats. He would likely not do well with a dominant or high-energy dog, but he’d probably enjoy having an older dog to spend the day with. Timber has been doing fine without a crate at night and when left alone for a few hours, but he did have some of the usual anxiety the first few days in a new place.
Even though he’s an older guy, Timber has a playful side and loves playing by himself with a stuffed animal. Timber is house-trained and good at walking on a leash and riding in the car. He is a very affectionate, gentle, and easy-going guy.
Timber is a sweet soul who would love to have a new family all his own.
