Max is a handsome purebred Golden Retriever boy who is an owner surrender from a wonderful lady who didn’t have time for him and felt awful about it. Her wish is that Max finds a forever home who can give him the love and time he so deserves. Life happens and she is heartbroken.

Max, is 7 years old, up-to-date on his shots and is neutered. As you can tell from his pictures he loves to swim. Max is about 88lbs (he could lose a few) and on the shorter side. He is a little shy at first but comes to life with human contact. Well behaved on a leash, loves toys, and comes when you call him. He also is used to being groomed and walked. Max also knows commands like sit, stay/wait, heel, and down off.

Max loves car rides once you get him in the vehicle, good with large dogs (don’t know about the smaller ones), and doesn’t like cats.

Max keeps his kennel clean. He likes children 8 yrs. and older since they will give him the respect he deserves. We think he would love an active family who will give him lots of love and who he can give all his love to. He is a favorite where he is currently staying.
