Luke is Pure Bred Golden Retriever boy who was released to us by his owner due to moving across country into an apartment with an increased work schedule and graduate school. She knew he wouldn’t be happy and she couldn’t spend the time nor give him the attention or space he deserves. Luke is 8 years old (June 5, 2015) and about 100lbs., up-to-date on all his shots, is heart-worm negative, and neutered.

He likes his butt scratched a lot. He has gone to an adult daycare facility as a therapy dog and enjoys it but he’s not certified as a therapy dog. He likes most dogs but not cats.

Luke is a typical goofy/funny Golden Retriever boy who loves carrying toys and things in his mouth. He responds well to gentle and positive reinforcement and doesn’t realize just how big and strong he is; so children under 10 are not advised. Luke loves to swim and go for walks.

Luke is housebroken, knows sit, stay/wait, and down/off.  He loves people and “He’s not a one-person dog, he’s happy being everyone’s dog and loves being with everyone in the middle of everything.” He loves walks and being groomed and may help you with your garden chores.
