Dovey is a purebred Golden Retriever and is a bit over 6 1/2 yrs old. Her date of birth is 3/5/2020. Dovey weighs approximately 110lbs, and yes she needs to lose weight. We currently have her on one.  She is micro-chipped, spayed, heart-worm negative, crate trained, and up to date on her necessary vaccines to date.  Dovey is an owner surrender because due to the passing of her human mom; her human dad has had to make some difficult life changes.

Dovey is house trained, loves toys, used to being groomed, walks, and rides in a car well. She enjoys swimming and water. She knows 'Sit' and 'stay/wait. She loves individual attention such as brushing and grooming. She loves exploring the outdoors, the woods, water, swimming (will help with her weight loss), basically loves attention.

Dovie is good with children over the age of 8.  She is mostly good with dogs but is selective so a meet and greet is required. She did live with a lab until recently so perhaps larger dogs might work best. She doesn't like cats.

We are told Dovey is "an extremely happy and loyal lady. Rarely seems upset or agitated. She's happiest in the mornings and enjoys being around families. Oh yes, she likes chasing squirrels."
