Corso is a male Golden Retriever, is approximately 2 yrs. old and weighs 50 lbs.  He is up-to-date on all his vaccines, neutered, and micro-chipped.

Corso came from a shelter so we don’t know much about him.  What we do know is he is a very sweet boy, but very nervous and scared.  In spite of the nervousness, he is very curious.  He loves having his ears rubbed and getting love, but he cowers if you move toward him too fast.  He can be overwhelmed with new experiences, but yummy treats will divert his focus.

Corso has not been dog tested, but he has met several other dogs through kennel doors with no negative reaction. He is shy when people approach him but he does warm up. He needs work on leash manners.

Corso rides very well in a car, but because of his timidness he needs help in and out of a car but he can work through that.

Corso is heart-worm positive and is currently being treated for heart-worms, which TVGRR will pay for. He will need a quiet environment during his ongoing treatment which means leash walking and not running around.  Once he is free from heart-worms, he will be a normal, healthy dog.

This boy has a lot of potential, he just needs to learn that a loving family is just what he needs.
