Doug is a male Golden Retriever mix (possibly with Pyr.) about 3 years old; 68lbs., up-to-date on all his vaccines, neutered, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped. Doug is a smiling boy as you can see from the pictures, who loves people and other dogs.

Doug was found by a couple on the highway so they decided to take him home immediately. They kept him for a few weeks trying to find his owners but couldn’t. They regretfully couldn’t keep him due to their living conditions.

He rides well in a car, is house trained, and crate trained. He likes being walked, groomed, swimming, and knows his basic commands but could use reminding.  Oh yes, and he likes toys.

Doug needs a fenced in yard space as he loves to run and to be chased. This is an active boy who enjoys playing with other dogs; we do not know what he thinks of cats. They say he doesn’t love baths, but once he’s wet; he is OK. Funny since he likes swimming.

Doug wants a loving family of his own; a fenced in yard would definitely be ideal for him. We suggest no children under 8 since he is still young, strong, and a joyful, happy soul.
